JfP on Pointer broadcast on far-right Defend groups

Justice for Prosperity and Pointer (KRO-NCRV) jointly investigated the rapid growth of Defend movements in the Netherlands. What we found is alarming.

Prominent figures within this movement openly refer to the effect of violence on local, democratic decision-making. Not as a warning, but as a strategy.

Formally, much of this stays just below the threshold for criminal prosecution. But the pressure on local officials and council members is real. Threats and violence cut deep. And because police and prosecutors have limited tools at their disposal, many of these representatives are too often left to deal with it on their own. That’s precisely why we launched this investigation: to show just how fast extremist pressure is growing, and how exposed your local representatives can be.
