WhoDis: A Powerful AI Tool to Protect Democracy

WhoDis: A Powerful AI Tool to Protect Democracy. WhoDis, a groundbreaking AI initiative by Justice for Prosperity, is set to revolutionize the ongoing battle against online misinformation and subversion. Leveraging advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology, WhoDis actively detects and predicts subversive activities, exposing the tactics used to spread hate and conspiracies. This essential tool strengthens the defense of democratic values in our increasingly digital world.

Why WhoDis Matters

In today’s society, disinformation and misinformation consistently threaten political trust and democratic institutions. These destructive forces allow malicious actors to exploit vulnerabilities, destabilize democracy, and erode human rights.

To counter these challenges, Justice for Prosperity conducted exclusive research, featured in The New York Times and an investigative report presented at the European Parliament. This research uncovers the methods used by these actors to subvert democracy and highlights the urgent need for strong countermeasures. By WhoDis: A Powerful AI Tool to Protect Democracy, we take a decisive step forward in this critical fight.

The Challenge of Today’s Political Landscape

The WhoDis project arrives at a crucial moment when extreme narratives increasingly blend with mainstream rhetoric. As populism and radical language gain traction within political discourse, dangerous ideologies become normalized, fostering divisive in- and out-group thinking across established democracies. WhoDis actively addresses these challenges by using AI to unmask the actors driving these harmful narratives.

What is WhoDis?

WhoDis is an AI-powered tool designed to detect and predict subversive activities that threaten our democracies. Using state-of-the-art NLP techniques, WhoDis reveals the extremist, ultra-conservative, and populist actors working to dismantle the rights we hold dear.

With this technology, we identify and investigate the strategies anti-democratic forces commonly use. WhoDis not only detects early signs of subversive polarization but also reconstructs how these dangerous narratives develop over time. By doing so, it empowers vulnerable communities to take proactive steps in defending themselves against online hate and subversion.

Supported by SIDN Fund

Justice for Prosperity proudly partners with the Dutch SIDN Fund in developing the WhoDis project. The SIDN Fund, based in the Netherlands, champions a safer, more secure internet for all. By supporting initiatives like WhoDis, they actively strengthen public values and counter negative online impacts, both within the Netherlands and globally.

Hier schrijven wij over in ons laatste rapport.

JfP in the media

At JfP our mission is to investigate and uncover subversive threats to our democracies. We do this through multidisciplinary and multilayered research into anti-democratic actors, which we post in the form of detailed reports, investigations or news. However, we do not always post our findings and investigations. In some situations,
