Opinion piece Jelle Postma in NRC

Keep your hands off people. That should have remained the norm.

During the fire in Loosdrecht, more than fifteen people were inside that building while a crowd blocked the fire brigade. That is the starting point of my opinion piece in the NRC.

What is happening on the streets is the result of years of political conduct in which fear is deliberately stoked. Amplified by algorithms that reward hate and organised far-right networks that use local unrest as fuel.
